Turkey's first humanoid robot officially registered in the population records, 'Canikman', met with students at a high school in Samsun province.
At the event organized by Canik Municipality, the robot answered students' questions about science and technology and chatted with them about exams.
Wore National Team Jersey
During the event, 'Canikman' was seen wearing the national football team jersey in reference to Turkey's participation in the 2026 World Cup.
Canik Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı stated that they continue to introduce young people to modern technologies.
Expanding Its Role
Sandıkçı explained that they are increasing the robot's participation in daily life every day and that it will soon take part in scientific activities, including summer education programs and laboratory experiments.
He said these initiatives aim to increase young people's awareness of technology and innovation.
'Canikman' became Turkey's first robot registered in the population by receiving an honorary identity card from the Samsun Population Directorate.
The robot continues to actively serve in Samsun Municipal Council meetings and the municipality's promotional events.
