Patients come from 180 countries
Thanks to its geographical location, advanced health infrastructure and services that meet international standards, Turkey provides healthcare to patients from around 180 countries. The highest demand in health tourism comes from Germany, the United Kingdom, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Russia, Libya and the Gulf countries.
While the average per capita health expenditure stands at $2,500, this figure can rise to between $10,000 and $50,000 in complex cases such as tumor treatment, cardiac surgery, robotic surgery and organ transplantation. Arıoğut added that these data reflect Turkey's advanced position in providing high-value healthcare services on a global scale.
