Türkiye and El Salvador have signed an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation. The agreement was signed after Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and El Salvador’s Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill Tinoco met at the Turkish House (Türkevi) in New York.
The two ministers, who are in New York for the 81st UN General Assembly, signed the document.

Double taxation agreements aim to prevent individuals and companies operating in both countries from being taxed twice on the same income, with the goal of encouraging trade and investment.
On the same day, Fidan also held talks on the sidelines of the General Assembly with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia and Guinea-Bissau’s Foreign Minister Fatumata Jau.
