Türkiye's Damascus Ambassador Yılmaz congratulated Syrian Information Minister Zarzur
Türkiye's Damascus Ambassador Nuh Yılmaz congratulated Syrian Information Minister Halid Zarzur. During the meeting, institutional cooperation and joint projects between the two countries were discussed.
Türkiye's Damascus Ambassador Nuh Yılmaz congratulated Syrian Information Minister Halid Zarzur on his appointment to the post.
Ambassador Yılmaz visited Zarzur at the ministry office in the capital Damascus on Monday and wished him success in his new role.
The meeting was also attended by Muhammed İhsan Özdemir, Damascus Advisor of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, and Ali Rifai, Director of Public Relations at the Syrian Ministry of Information.
The parties exchanged views on strengthening the capacity of institutions in the new Syria, ensuring institutional coordination, as well as joint projects and areas of cooperation.
Halid Zarzur was appointed Minister of Information by Syrian President Ahmed Shara through Decree No. 100 issued in May 2026.
