Under decision No. 2026/6 of the Cinema Support Board, support will be provided for 6 first feature fiction film projects, 12 feature film production projects, 1 post-production project and 3 co-production projects.
Funding for projects in different genres
The support covers a range of productions, from new films by experienced directors to projects by filmmakers preparing to make their first feature. Animated films and international co-productions are also included in the support program.
The supported projects include new films by Zeki Demirkubuz and Reha Erdem, as well as works by young directors. The program also contributes to co-productions made with filmmakers from different countries.
Türkiye supports a Palestinian filmmaker’s project
One of the projects included in the latest decision is The Trap, written and directed by Palestinian actor and director Tawfeek Barhom. Barhom’s project will receive support as part of an international co-production involving Türkiye’s Alaz Film.

Barhom won the Palme d’Or for short films at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival with his short film I'm Glad You're Dead Now.
The funding to be provided for the 3 international co-productions included in the latest decision will contribute to the creative collaborations established by Türkiye’s producers with filmmakers from different countries.
Support for first feature projects
While the decision allocates funding to 6 more first films, the number of projects supported in the first feature fiction film production category in 2026 has reached 15. These projects aim to bring new voices and different forms of storytelling to cinema.
Three feature-length animated projects aimed at children and family audiences were also included in the support program.
