Ukrainian foreign minister Andriy Sibiga stated that it is time for Russia to respond to Ukraine's proposal for peace talks. Sibiga, who made statements to the Ukrainian press, criticized Moscow over the 'Ankoraj spirit'.

Russians like to talk about the 'Ankoraj spirit'. Like any spirit, no one really knows what it is. But Russians believe in it and think everyone else should too. The fact is, even if the 'Ankoraj spirit' once existed, it is now completely dead.
Sibiga emphasized that Moscow must stop believing in ghosts and sit at the negotiating table by responding to Ukraine's serious proposals, and end the war. Stating that the situation will worsen for Russia if president Vladimir Putin does not accept reality, the minister said, 'The longer Putin denies that he will never achieve any of his goals on the battlefield, the worse it will be for Russia.'
