Vehicle fire in the Troy Tunnel in Çanakkale

At night, a fire broke out in a car in the Troy Tunnel in the Ayvacık district on the Çanakkale-İzmir highway. The vehicle traveling from Küçükkuyu towards Ayvacık caught fire for an unknown reason.
Upon the driver's report, gendarmerie and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. The gendarmerie stopped traffic flow in the tunnel, while the fire brigade intervened in the fire and extinguished the vehicle. There were no injuries in the incident, but the vehicle suffered material damage. After the fire, the tunnel was reopened to traffic as the dense smoke dispersed.
