Warning from Meteorology: Heavy rain and strong winds will be effective across the country
The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that heavy rain is expected in many regions of Turkey and strong winds in Eastern Anatolia.
The General Directorate of Meteorology shared its latest weather forecasts for the country as the new week begins. Accordingly, partly cloudy and locally very cloudy weather is expected in the northern, interior, and eastern parts of Turkey; heavy rain and thunderstorms may be seen in many regions.
Rainfall is expected to be effective mainly in Thrace, most of the Black Sea region, and the northeast of Eastern Anatolia. In the eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia, caution is advised against risks such as roof damage, fallen trees, and transportation disruptions due to strong winds blowing from the south. Authorities also called for precautions against flash floods and short-term storms caused by sudden rains.
