Çakar: We will continue supporting producers and exporters
Ziraat Bank General Manager Alpaslan Çakar said in his assessment of the second quarter that global uncertainties, tight monetary conditions and rising funding costs in the banking sector were putting pressure on profitability and equity.
Çakar said the bank had achieved a successful performance thanks to its strong financial structure, extensive service network and balance-sheet management. He stated that the bank had strengthened its position in many key areas, including assets, loans, deposits, equity and digital banking.
Çakar said that they would focus on investment, production, employment and exports at a time when geopolitical and economic balances were being reshaped, adding that they aimed to contribute to the opportunities facing Türkiye. He said Ziraat Bank would continue to maintain its strong position domestically while expanding into new geographies internationally and would support producers, exporters and entrepreneurs in every region where it operates.
