To date, 16,791,510 people have used services to check the inspection dates, mileage and damage information of used vehicles.
The service is intended to prevent grievances that may arise from mileage resetting or tampering and damage records in used-vehicle sales.
System established in 2017
The Protocol on the Regulation of Information-Sharing Principles, signed in 2017 between the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation and PTT AŞ, laid the foundation for sharing vehicle-related information.
People who want to buy a used vehicle can access its mileage and inspection information through PTTAVM, HGS Mobil, PTT Bank internet banking, PTT Bank Mobil and the e-Government applications.
Checks using a license plate or chassis number
By entering a vehicle's license plate or chassis number in the applications, users can view the mileage recorded in the system during vehicle inspections. The same channels also provide access to information about the vehicle's inspection date and damage records.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said used-vehicle sales increase during the summer and that people need to learn the mileage and accident records of the vehicles they plan to buy.
Uraloğlu said demand for the services was high and that checks using a license plate or chassis number could be carried out easily. The minister said the applications enable people to learn a vehicle's actual mileage and help prevent grievances that may arise after a sale.
