2 Dead in Tokat After Car Hits Parked Motorcycle

In Tokat's Reşadiye district, a nighttime accident occurred when a car collided with a parked motorcycle, resulting in two deaths. One person was slightly injured, and the drivers were taken into custody.

2 Dead in Tokat After Car Hits Parked Motorcycle

Two people lost their lives and one was injured in a traffic accident that occurred at night in Tokat's Reşadiye district. The accident took place near the Ata Küçük Sanayi Site in Çayırpınar village on the D-100 Highway, where a car reportedly collided with a parked motorcycle.

According to claims, the car with license plate 60 FC 230, driven by C. Y. F., was traveling from Reşadiye towards Niksar when it hit the motorcycle with license plate 60 TK 017 parked on the right side of the road. The impact severely injured the motorcycle riders, Çetin Coşkun and Semih Özer.

F. K., a passenger in the car, sustained minor injuries. Medical teams dispatched to the scene transported the injured to Reşadiye State Hospital.

Despite all medical efforts at the hospital, Çetin Coşkun and Semih Özer could not be saved. F. K.'s condition was reported to be good.

Investigations revealed that another vehicle with license plate 60 M 2028 also played a role in the accident. The unlicensed driver of this vehicle, A. O. T., along with the driver of the other car, C. Y. F., were taken into custody.

An investigation into the accident has been launched.
