The Israeli army confirmed that since March 2, 30 officers and soldiers have been killed and 1,347 soldiers wounded in renewed clashes in Southern Lebanon. It was reported that 45 soldiers were wounded in the last three days.
Israel's Channel 12, citing a security source, reported that the army has begun to reduce its operations in Lebanon while awaiting a decision from the political leadership. However, it was noted that Israeli forces continue to maintain their presence in areas they consider strategic.
The same report stated that Israeli troops will continue to operate in the area known as the "Yellow Line" in Southern Lebanon and have not received any orders to withdraw from current positions or halt operations.
This development came as the US and Iran reached a peace agreement calling for the immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts. Despite this, violations continue on the ground, with intermittent Israeli artillery fire reported in some areas, according to Lebanese media.
Artillery fire was reported around Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, Kafr Tibnit, Yohmor al-Shakif, and Zawtar al-Sharqiya while civilians were returning to their villages. No casualties were reported from these attacks.
Lebanese security sources also stated that Hezbollah targeted Israeli vehicles attempting to advance toward the Ali al-Tahir hills with two rockets. There has been no statement from Hezbollah regarding this matter yet.
The course of the clashes continues to be closely monitored due to both the casualties among soldiers on the front lines and the operational constraints faced by the Israeli army as it awaits political decisions.
