A magnitude 5 earthquake struck Adana’s Saimbeyli district at 4:02 a.m.

A magnitude 5 earthquake struck Adana’s Saimbeyli district at 4:02 a.m. The tremor occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers.
The earthquake was felt in Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, Kayseri and Gaziantep, as well as Adana.
Teams conduct field assessments
The Adana Governor’s Office announced that no adverse situation had been detected so far following the earthquake and that no reports had been received by the 112 Emergency Call Center. AFAD and relevant teams are continuing field assessment efforts.
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said that teams were continuing their work and conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery to those affected by the earthquake.
AFAD announced that field assessment efforts were continuing after the earthquake centered in Saimbeyli and that, according to initial assessments, no adverse situation had been identified.
