AFAD deployed 13 thousand personnel in disaster response
AFAD announced that 13,342 personnel and 5,656 vehicles and machinery were assigned to intervene in landslides, floods, inundations, and overflows.
AFAD announced that 13,342 personnel and 5,656 vehicles and machinery were assigned to combat landslides, floods, inundations, and overflows occurring nationwide. It was stated that institutional teams along with police, gendarmerie, 112 Emergency Health, fire department, highways, special provincial administrations, State Hydraulic Works, and municipal teams were also present in the field. The statement reported that between May 21-31, some provinces experienced landslides and rockfalls due to heavy rains, and between May 21-30, many provinces experienced floods, inundations, and overflows.
