An investigation has been launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding Tuba Torun Erdoğdu

Within the scope of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality investigation, the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation regarding Tuba Torun Erdoğdu, the wife and lawyer of detained CHP member Aykut Erdoğdu, due to a press statement she made during the trial. The investigation is being conducted within the framework of the provisions of the attorneyship law.

An investigation has been launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding Tuba Torun Erdoğdu, the wife and lawyer of CHP member Aykut Erdoğdu, who was detained within the scope of the investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The investigation was opened due to the statements made by Tuba Torun Erdoğdu in a press statement during the hearing of the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court's file numbered 2025/318 at the Marmara Penal Institutions Campus. The prosecutor's office stated that the investigation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of the attorneyship law.

At the 32nd meeting of the Family Solidarity Network, Tuba Torun Erdoğdu reacted to the injustices experienced and criticized the non-release of her detained husband Aykut Erdoğdu. In her statement, Erdoğdu said, "Not requesting the release of Aykut Erdoğdu, who is being tried for a single crime and has already served his sentence, is the height of injustice." Following these words, the prosecutor's office decided to launch an investigation.
