Beşiktaş win a league derby after four matches
Beşiktaş secured a league derby victory after a four-match wait. The Black and Whites had failed to win any of their four league matches against Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray last season.
Beşiktaş drew 1-1 with Galatasaray in the first half of last season and lost the return fixture 1-0. The team lost both of its league matches against Fenerbahçe, by scores of 3-2 and 1-0. The Black and Whites had won their cup match against Fenerbahçe 2-1 away from home.
Beşiktaş's most recent league derby victory had also come at Kadıköy in the 2024-2025 season, when the team beat Fenerbahçe 1-0.
