At a ceremony held at Beşiktaş Club to present certificates of office, Serdal Adalı received his certificate confirming his chairmanship of the club’s board from council chairman Ahmet Ürkmezgil and general assembly council chairman Özkan Burak Özmen. The other members who will serve on the board also received their certificates.
Ürkmezgil delivered the opening remarks at the ceremony, held at the Moda Center at Tüpraş Stadium, and said periods of extraordinary elections should be left behind. Ürkmezgil said Beşiktaş needed stability, peace, unity and success in the new period, adding that he believed the administration would make the club stronger both financially and in sporting terms.
Ürkmezgil congratulated Adalı and the board members and wished them success in their duties for the Beşiktaş community. Saying that Beşiktaş should direct its energy toward its goals on the field rather than internal issues, Ürkmezgil said that from now on, successes—not elections—should be the focus of discussion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Serdal Adalı said they had left behind the administrative and financial general assembly and the extraordinary general assembly election processes. Recalling the day he received his certificate of office as chairman of the Beşiktaş Board on Jan. 6, 2025, Adalı said he still carried the excitement and pride of that day.
Describing the 1.5 years he had spent as Beşiktaş chairman as the most meaningful period of his life, Adalı said three general assemblies involving elections had been held during that time because of the circumstances. Saying that receiving certificates of office from the community three times had increased their responsibilities, Adalı thanked his family, colleagues, associates and the Beşiktaş community for their support.
Adalı said they would work to turn bigger goals into reality in the new period. Saying they aimed to take Beşiktaş to a better position financially and in sporting terms, Adalı thanked the board members, general assembly members and the wider community for their support.

At the end of the ceremony, Adalı presented gifts featuring an eagle figure to the congress council members who had chaired the ordinary administrative and financial general assembly and the extraordinary elective general assembly. After the ceremony, Adalı and the board members posed for a commemorative photograph.
