Beşiktaş target an eighth home win against Kocaelispor
Beşiktaş will host Kocaelispor at Tüpraş Stadium in the Süper Lig tomorrow at 19:00. Beşiktaş will be without only Milot Rashica ahead of the meeting between the two teams, who sit third and fourth in the league with 12 points each.
Beşiktaş will host Kocaelispor at Tüpraş Stadium tomorrow in the seventh week of the Süper Lig. Abdullah Buğra Taşkınsoy will referee the match, which will kick off at 19:00.
Vincenzo Italiano's side have recorded four wins and two defeats in their six league matches. Beşiktaş entered the international break with 12 points and sit third on goal difference.
Kocaelispor, coached by Selçuk İnan, have also secured four wins in six matches. The green-and-black team have gone without points in two matches and sit fourth with 12 points.
Rashica the only absentee for Beşiktaş
Milot Rashica will be the only player unavailable to Beşiktaş ahead of the match against Kocaelispor. Rashica will not play after a strain and bleeding were detected in the upper muscle of his right thigh.
Rashica sustained the injury during Kosovo's match against Austria on October 4.
Orkun Kökçü one booking away from suspension
Beşiktaş captain Orkun Kökçü is one booking away from suspension ahead of the match against Kocaelispor. The midfielder has been booked in the league matches against Çorum FK, Erzurumspor FK and Amed Sportif Faaliyetler. Another yellow card would rule him out of next week's match against Trabzonspor.
Seven-match winning run at home
Beşiktaş have won all seven of their home matches at Dolmabahçe in the UEFA Europa League and the Süper Lig this season. In European competition, the black-and-whites defeated Midtjylland 1-0, Hradec Kralove 1-0, Kauno Zalgiris 3-0 and Olympique Marseille 4-1.
In the Süper Lig, Beşiktaş defeated Eyüpspor 1-0, Çorum FK 6-2 and Erzurumspor FK 3-0. The black-and-whites scored 19 goals and conceded three in those seven matches in Istanbul.
Beşiktaş aim to extend their home winning run by defeating Kocaelispor and go into next week's match against Trabzonspor without dropping points.
