Türkiye’s women’s national football team drew with Slovenia in the opening match of the World Cup European Qualifiers playoff round. Kader Hançar and Selen Altunkulak, who scored twice, netted Türkiye’s goals.

Kader Hançar scored Türkiye’s first goal from the penalty spot in the 18th minute. Selen Altunkulak found the net in the 25th and 75th minutes.
Before the match, the Turkish Football Federation presented commemorative jerseys to Didem Karagenç, who was making her 122nd international appearance, and captain Ebru Topçu, who was earning her 101st cap.
The second leg will be played at Sportni Park on Tuesday, October 13, at 18:00 Türkiye time.
