The Bulgarian Navy took action regarding four unmanned aerial vehicle parts found at different points along the Black Sea coast and offshore.
Bulgaria's Defense Ministry said two of the parts were destroyed at sea using controlled methods, while the other two were taken to Naval Forces bases for examination.
Found near Varna and Burgas
One of the parts washed ashore at Kabakum Beach near Varna. An examination determined that the part contained no explosive material.
The other part, found on the coast of the Kamchia resort near Varna, was identified as the wing section of a military unmanned aerial vehicle that was not carrying ammunition.
The two parts found offshore near the town of Pomorie in the Burgas region and near Pasha-Dere Beach south of Varna were destroyed directly at sea in a controlled operation.
Bulgaria's Defense Ministry said the Naval Forces had taken the necessary measures regarding all four parts. Last week, the Bulgarian Navy also examined and transported two UAV parts found along the Black Sea coast.
