Chicken meat production rose 14.7% in June to 232,238 tonnes
The Turkish Statistical Institute announced that 232,238 tonnes of chicken meat were produced in June, up 14.7% year on year. During the same period, 1.838 billion chicken eggs were produced, while the number of chickens slaughtered reached 123.325 million.

Chicken meat production reached 232,238 tonnes in June. Production increased by 14.7% compared with the same month last year and by 14.8% from the previous month.
Chicken egg production rose year on year
Chicken egg production fell by 1% month on month in June but rose by 21% year on year. A total of 1.838 billion chicken eggs were produced during this period.
More than 123 million chickens were slaughtered
The number of chickens slaughtered in June rose by 14.4% compared with the same month last year, reaching 123.325 million.
During the January-June period, chicken egg production increased by 18.6%, the number of chickens slaughtered by 1.2% and chicken meat production by 0.3% compared with the same period last year.
