Communications Director Fahrettin Duran strongly reacted to the Israeli government's decision to recognize Armenian claims regarding the 1915 events in a post on his social media account.
Targeting the Israeli administration, Duran said, "The Israeli administration, which has committed the most brutal massacre of the 21st century by killing tens of thousands of innocent civilians, including babies, women, and the elderly without blinking, daring to use historical events as a political weapon is nothing short of hypocrisy."
Describing Israel's decision as a "futile outburst," Duran stated:
Israel's recognition of the 1915 events as a so-called 'genocide' is a futile outburst of an effort to cover up the blood of innocent Palestinians on their hands, the state terrorism they carry out in the Middle East, and the crimes against humanity they brazenly commit.
In his statement, Duran also drew attention to Israel's record on international law. He described an entity that bombs hospitals, schools, places of worship, and refugee camps talking about moral and historical obligations as "the greatest irony in the history of humanity."
The Communications Director expressed his reaction by saying, "Those who are being tried for the crime of genocide at the International Court of Justice have absolutely no right to try to give history lessons to Turkey or act as guardians of conscience."
