Deniz Sapmaz becomes first Turkish golfer to reach final round at European Golf Championship
The Turkish Golf Federation announced that 17-year-old Deniz Sapmaz became the first Turkish athlete to advance to the final round at the European Golf Championship in Sweden. She finished 43rd in the event, which featured 144 athletes.
The Turkish Golf Federation announced that 17-year-old national golfer Deniz Sapmaz achieved a significant success at the European Golf Championship in Sweden.
In the event organized by the European Golf Association (EGA) at the facility in the town of Allerum, with 144 athletes from 25 countries, Deniz managed to advance to the final 94 players after the first 36 holes.
The young golfer then advanced to the final round, which featured only 60 players after 54 holes, making history for Turkish golf. Deniz Sapmaz finished the championship in 43rd place.
