An agreement was reached between the worker and employer parties for Doruk Mining and Electricity Production Industry Trade Inc., operating under Yıldızlar SSS Holding in Eskişehir. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security announced that it closely monitored the process from the beginning and conducted necessary discussions with the parties.
Negotiations between worker and employer representatives, facilitated by the Ministry's initiatives, continued on June 15 and 16. Today, it was reported that the parties reached a significant consensus with the participation of employer representatives and authorized union officials.
Receivables Scheduled
Within the framework of the agreement, a protocol was signed between the authorized union, the Turkish Mine Workers' Union, and the employer side. This protocol established a schedule for the payment of workers' receivables.
The statement emphasized that the rights and receivables agreed upon in the protocol are secured for payment. Thus, the most critical issue of the ongoing process—the payment plan—was formalized in writing.
Protest Ends
Following the agreement reached between the parties, the workers decided to end their ongoing protests. Consequently, the tense situation at the mining facility was resolved through the negotiations and agreement.
The Ministry stated that the principle of social dialogue will be fundamental in working life and that necessary steps to protect workers' rights will continue to be taken decisively. The implementation of the payment schedule outlined in the protocol is crucial in the next phase of the process.
