President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that an additional $24 billion has been allocated to the Steel Dome project, which is being carried out to strengthen Turkey's air and missile defense capabilities.
Erdoğan said, "We have allocated an additional $24 billion to our Steel Dome project for air and missile defense capabilities, which is the most felt deficiency in our alliance. As the country with the largest land army in Europe, we are striving to offer our capabilities to the alliance when necessary."
Turkey's defense capacity is regarded as a stabilizing force in the region. Turkey is said to be preparing a strong military inventory for use when necessary.
