The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Poland, as well as regional and global developments. Erdoğan said it would be appropriate to take the necessary steps to increase trade between the two countries.
Türkiye President Erdoğan said work was under way to develop cooperation in various fields, including the defense industry.
Regional developments and Gaza
Erdoğan told Nawrocki that Türkiye was working to help end the war between Russia and Ukraine and ensure the safety of maritime transport in the Black Sea.
On Gaza, he stressed the importance of maintaining international support based on a two-state solution to establish peace and stability in the region.

Invitation to Poland for COP31
Erdoğan also invited Nawrocki to the COP31 Leaders’ Summit, which will be held in Antalya in November.
History of relations
Türkiye’s support for Poland’s accession to NATO in 1999, and Poland’s support for Türkiye’s European Union accession process, contributed to strengthening relations between the two countries.
Bilateral relations were elevated to the level of a strategic partnership with the Türkiye-Poland Declaration on Strategic Partnership signed in 2009.
