Doctors, health workers and medical students in Erzurum gathered for the 152nd week of their silent march in support of Gaza.
Participants gathered outside Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque on Saturday and walked toward the historic Yakutiye Madrasa, carrying banners as well as Turkish and Palestinian flags.
The march has continued for 152 weeks
Speaking on behalf of the group, doctor Ahmet Kar said the march had continued for 152 weeks. Kar said their determination to continue the action drew strength from the resilience of Palestinians in Gaza and that they wanted to draw attention to events in the region since October 2023.

Kar said the attacks in Gaza were entering their third year and described the events, which he said targeted children, women, the elderly and young people, as a "systematic massacre." He argued that bombs weighing thousands of tons and the painful images appearing on screens had not ended indifference around the world.
Call for boycotts and public reaction
Kar called for boycotts of institutions that support injustice and urged people to continue their prayers and protests. He said everything possible should be done to provide assistance without succumbing to the belief that individual efforts would not produce results.

Kar also expressed his hope that a generation inspired by humanitarian values and moral responsibility, and carrying the dignity of the people of Gaza, would be raised. The march ended after a prayer, with the participants dispersing.
Deaths in Gaza
According to the latest data from Gaza's Health Ministry, 1,481 Palestinians have been killed and 5,254 people injured in attacks that the ministry says Israel carried out in violation of the ceasefire after it began.
Since the war began in October 2023, more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, more than 175,000 people have been injured and approximately 90 percent of the infrastructure has been damaged.
