Five TFF board members, including Otyakmaz, resign
Otyakmaz and four other board members resigned after a meeting at the TFF Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities in Riva. The proposal to convene an extraordinary general assembly was rejected, while the TFF announced that it had parted ways with Vincenzo Montella.
Resignations from the TFF board
Following a TFF board meeting at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities in Riva, Otyakmaz spoke to members of the press.
Otyakmaz said some board members had called for an extraordinary general assembly, but that the proposal was rejected. He announced that, following disagreements, he and Mustafa Bozbağ, Zafer Bahadır Saraç, Bilal Arslan and Murat Şahin had resigned.
Otyakmaz wished the remaining board members success and expressed hope for a better period for Turkish football.
TFF parts ways with Montella
Responding to a question about Vincenzo Montella, Otyakmaz said they had separated from the matter because of his resignation decision and that a decision regarding Montella was expected.
Following Otyakmaz's remarks, the Turkish Football Federation announced that it had parted ways with head coach Vincenzo Montella.
