İçerenköy Square and the 100th Year Atatürk Museum and Library, realized through the cooperation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and Ataşehir Municipality, have been inaugurated. CHP’s presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu sent a message to the ceremony from Marmara Prison, where he is detained.
In a letter shared with the public by CHP Ataşehir District Chairman Atakan Anıl Dizdaroğlu, İmamoğlu said, "I congratulate our dear Honorary President Onursal Adıgüzel, who has brought Turkey’s largest Atatürk Library to Ataşehir and Istanbul by doing a beautiful and honorable job as his name suggests, and I hope he regains his freedom and returns to his duty as soon as possible." İmamoğlu summarized his message as follows:

The oppression endured by Onursal Adıgüzel and all our friends who work tirelessly, considering serving the nation a patriotic duty, is the result of a great corruption and decay. Those whose only concern is their seat are trying to eliminate those who care only about the nation.
Those who see themselves above the will of the people are trying to abolish the citizens’ right to freely choose in elections so that seats remain within the family and can be passed down from generation to generation. The fools who think they can gain legitimacy from abroad, which the nation has not granted, target the Republic of Turkey, entrusted by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who said, "Freedom and independence are my character."
What they want to destroy is the idea that "Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the nation." They are trying to reorganize the state according to the interests of a handful of people, turning it into a "dynastic state." They want the nation to fear the lawless power of this "dynastic state" and silently endure every oppression. They want the nation to hesitate to demand the services and living standards it deserves and to remain silent.
"They will not stand before the will of the people, the sense of justice, and the desire for change"
They have no respect for the state or the nation. But this will not continue. The day will come when the ballot box will be set up, and the nation will show everyone that it is the sole judge of the country. They will not be able to stand before the will of the people, the sense of justice, and the desire for change.
This handful of people, who have no values or sacred principles other than money, power, and authority, and a part of the weak-spirited who are eager to play the so-called opposition role assigned to them to serve these people, will only find a place in the shameful pages of our history. Those who know that the state can only stand with justice and the unconditional sovereignty of the nation, and who pay the price for this cause, will win.
No matter which party they belong to, those whose only concern is their seat will lose, and those who care only about the nation will win. Everything will be very good. Future Party Chairman Davutoğlu is in the streets of Süleymaniye.
