Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Nevşehir Governor Hüseyin Kök, AK Party Deputy Chairman Belgin Uygur, CHP Deputy Chairman Cemal Canpolat, MHP Deputy Chairman Yaşar Yıldırım, MHP Deputy Group Chair Filiz Kılıç, BBP Deputy Chairman Durmuş Boztuğ, Homeland Party General Secretary Özgür Bursalı, Anatolian Irfan Associations Federation President Haydar Şahin, and Horasan Erenler Associations Federation President Erdem Cömert attended the 'Muharram Month fast-breaking and lokma sharing' program held at the Horasan Erenleri Dervish Lodge Cem House in Hacıbektaş district.
In his speech at the program, Minister Çiftçi emphasized the importance of the month of Muharram, saying, 'We are together in the sorrowful, dignified, and spiritual climate of the Month of Muharram to break our fasts held with the intention of truth, share our lokma, unite our prayers, and bring our hearts together in the same circle of affection. May God accept our fasts and prayers.
May He grant abundance to our table, affection to our hearts, and strength to our unity. Muharram is a special time when one turns to their inner world, the self is called to account, and the conscience deepens.'
'Karbala, on the other hand, is a torch of truth that has not been extinguished for centuries, a station of admonition where the meaning of martyrdom has manifested in all its magnificence,' said Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, adding: 'Our master Hazrat Hussein, the light of the eyes of the master of both worlds, the master of the youths of Paradise, and his 72 companions, left behind to us a stance that has not been extinguished for centuries, an unending dignity, and the honor of the highest price paid for the sake of truth. On that day in Karbala, bodies were left thirsty; but the truth was not silenced. Dignity and martyrdom rose to the heavens. To remember Karbala is to understand the path of Hazrat Hussein. That path is the path of standing by the oppressed, the path of upholding the truth. That path is the path of protecting human dignity, keeping justice alive, and not consenting to oppression.
The spiritual world of this nation is kneaded with love for the Ahl al-Bayt. The knowledge and courage of our master Hazrat Ali, the chastity and mercy of our mother Hazrat Fatima, the tranquility and dignity of our master Hazrat Hasan, the dignified resistance of our master Hazrat Hussein, and the virtuous stance of the noble companions have a deep place in the spiritual roots of our nation. The leaven of Anatolia was also prepared with this love.'
'IT IS THE HOMELAND OF A GREAT NATION UNITED IN DESTINY UNDER THE SAME FIRMAMENT' Minister Çiftçi also stated that the lamp lit here shows mercy to this nation, saying, 'The saints coming from Khorasan; carried heart before sword, wisdom before judgment, and manners before words to these lands. The breath of Hünkar Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli with the heart of Yunus Emre; the love of Hazrat Mevlana with the voice of Pir Sultan; the lamp of the saints has met with the wisdom of this nation. Therefore, the land of Hacı Bektaş is the name of spiritual discipline, love for humanity, manners, principles, and brotherhood. The lamp lit here has for centuries shown this nation the way, the method, mercy, and affection.
This sacred homeland is the land of a great nation united in destiny under the same firmament, with its Alevis, Sunnis, Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Circassians. It is the land of brothers who shed tears for the same pain, say amen to the same prayer, walk towards the future under the shadow of the same flag, and are bound with affection to the same homeland.'
'WE WILL BUILD THE TURKEY CENTURY BY TOUCHING THE HEART OF EVERY CITIZEN' Stating that Turkey continues on its path with a will that strengthens social peace under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Mustafa Çiftçi continued: 'Under the leadership of our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey continues on its path with a will that strengthens freedom of belief, our cultural richness, our bond of brotherhood, and our social peace.
The rights, laws, beliefs, and cultures of every one of our brothers living in these lands are under the guarantee of our state. The door and the heart of our state are always open to every member of our nation. God willing, we will build the Turkey Century by expanding peace, reinforcing trust, strengthening brotherhood, and touching the heart of every citizen.'
'WE MULTIPLY OUR PRAYER AND CARRY OUR BROTHERHOOD TO THE FUTURE' Conveying that they are working for a Turkey where citizens feel safe, Minister Çiftçi said, 'As the Ministry of Interior, we are also at our posts for your peace and security. We work with determination and resolve for a Turkey where every citizen lives their faith freely, feels safe, and looks to the future with hope.
For a thousand years in these lands, we have bandaged each other's wounds. We have been a companion to those stranded on the road, hope to the stranger, a brother to the orphan, a shelter to the oppressed. Without saying 'you and I', we said 'We'. We stayed away from words that magnify division. We met at tables that magnify affection. This evening, we have also gathered with the same spirit. We are sorrowful with the grief of Karbala; we are dignified with the inspiration we draw from Hazrat Hussein's struggle for truth.
We share our pain, multiply our prayer, and carry our brotherhood to the future.'
