MÜSİAD Chairman Özdemir issued a statement on the allegations raised against Trade Minister Ömer Bolat. Özdemir said MÜSİAD was a business organization that had worked for Türkiye’s future for 37 years and approached development on the basis of production and trade.
Özdemir said they felt the need to share their views with the public as part of their responsibility to society in response to the allegations targeting Bolat, who previously served as chairman of MÜSİAD.
Özdemir argued that Bolat’s detailed statement and the documents he presented showed that the allegations were baseless. He said the transparent approach the minister had demonstrated in the face of the accusations was an indication of the integrity that the MÜSİAD family had witnessed for many years.

Özdemir said they supported conducting the process, which had damaged the public conscience, transparently and ensuring that those genuinely responsible were held accountable. He said baseless accusations could undermine society’s pursuit of justice and fairness.
Özdemir said MÜSİAD would not include people who acted contrary to its understanding of lawful earnings, adding that they would not allow people whose integrity and honesty they trusted to become victims of slander.
