Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei answered journalists' questions at his weekly news conference in the capital, Tehran.
Baghaei said the United States was pressuring its trading partners to take measures against Iran in order to intensify the impact of its economic war, and was using the media to strengthen the effect of that pressure.
Baghaei said Iran's relations with its neighbors, particularly Türkiye, were at the desired level, adding that relations between Iran and Türkiye were special in every field. He said the two countries shared common concerns and views, particularly regarding Israel's efforts to establish dominance in the region.
Baghaei said diplomatic mechanisms were working to prevent the United States from achieving its objectives.
Statement on Yemen
Responding to a question about attacks targeting pipelines in Saudi Arabia, Baghaei claimed that Iran was not involved in developments in Yemen. He advised regional countries to recognize the facts regarding Yemen.
Claims about Kazmeh Mountain
Baghaei also spoke about Kazmeh Mountain, which was raised by U.S. President Donald Trump and was alleged to host an underground nuclear facility belonging to Iran.
Baghaei claimed that no covert activity was being conducted around Kazmeh Mountain, and said reports of nuclear activity in the area were part of the psychological warfare being waged by the United States.
Baghaei said the safety of navigation at sea should apply to all countries, adding that his country did not accept the use of navigational safety as a tool of pressure.
Meeting on the Strait of Hormuz
Baghaei also responded to a question about Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi's announcement that a regional meeting planned on the Strait of Hormuz had been postponed. He said Saudi Arabia had requested the postponement.
The meeting planned in Oman between Iran and Arab countries was expected to take place on September 14. The foreign ministers' meeting, which was also expected to include the Gulf countries, was planned to announce the agreement reached between Tehran and Muscat regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
