In an interview with the official Iraqi news agency INA, Minister Hudayir stated that on August 1, Iraq and Turkey signed a "significant agreement" extending the existing arrangements in the oil sector for another year.
Hudayir added that during this period, the parties will prepare a draft long-term framework agreement, and noted that under the Iraq-Turkey agreement, the target is to export over 700,000 barrels of oil per day from Iraq's southern fields via the northern pipelines.
