Levent İnanır, nephew of Turkish screen legend Kadir İnanır, who died in June, has called on the actor’s life partner Jülide Kural, who inherited his entire estate. “He has nephews in need. My uncle Kadir did what was needed for you. Now you do what befits you,” he said.
Kadir İnanır reportedly revoked a will he drew up in 2015 and, on the same day in 2022, made a new one leaving all his assets to Kural. Levent İnanır claimed the 2015 will had left Kural only one house and said: “I don’t think he signed the will consciously. Isn’t there something suspicious here?”
Questioning how the will was prepared, he asked: “Why two witnesses, why a done deal, why a one-day medical report?” He acknowledged Kural’s contribution but said he had often seen the two argue at the hospital.
Levent İnanır said the legal process would continue. Kadir İnanır, one of Turkish cinema’s most celebrated actors, died on June 26 at the age of 77 after battling advanced lung cancer.
