Mayor caught in drunk driving accident

According to the information received, the highway gendarmerie issued a "stop" warning to a vehicle in motion at around 22:40 on May 29. The vehicle, which fled by not complying with the warning, was pursued by gendarmerie personnel. THE MAYOR WHO DID NOT COMPLY WITH THE STOP WARNING HAD AN ACCIDENTThe official vehicle, driven by Mayor Yalçin and identified as belonging to Yaygın Municipality, collided with another car moving on Mustafa Kalfaoğlu Street in the Devlet Neighborhood of Etimesgut district. It was determined that there was one person in the official vehicle and five in the other car. In the accident, 2 people, including 1 child, were injured. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. BLOOD ALCOHOL LEVEL OF 1.99 PER MILLEIt was determined that Yalçin, who refused to blow into the breathalyzer after the accident, had a blood alcohol level of 1.99 per mille in the blood test conducted at Etimesgut State Hospital. Yalçin, who was taken into custody after the incident, was released under judicial control by the court after the completion of his procedures.
