In a written statement, Minister Göktaş said the Home Care Assistance program has been a family-centered care service since 2006, aimed primarily at supporting people with disabilities in a family environment.
Göktaş said they consider it a priority for citizens with disabilities to receive care at home while preserving family unity. She said the assistance supports fully dependent people with disabilities in living with their families or relatives without leaving their current environment.
Under the Home Care Assistance program, a monthly payment of 15,775 liras is made per beneficiary.
Göktaş announced that a total of 7.7 billion liras had been deposited into the accounts of fully dependent citizens and their families this month, and that 490,000 citizens are currently benefiting from the assistance.
