COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum unveiled the special song prepared for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP31), which will be held in Antalya under Türkiye's hosting. Kurum announced the music video for the song, titled "Let's COP", with the words "One world, one call, Let's COP."
The song, written in English, highlights the fight against climate change and a call to take action for a shared future. The video features Türkiye's natural and cultural wealth, with footage ranging from Antalya's beaches and forests to canyons and ancient theaters. The chorus repeats the words "One world, one call, Let's COP."
The song was first played in Istanbul
Before announcing the song, Kurum played it for the first time to participants at a meeting in Istanbul with the editors-in-chief of media organizations on preparations for COP31. Kurum said the summit's arts and culture programs were among the initiatives that excited him most, adding that COP31 should be promoted more powerfully through art and that songs were being prepared specifically for the summit for this purpose.
Türkiye will host COP31 for the first time, with the conference scheduled to take place in Antalya from November 9 to 20. The 197 countries that are parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change meet each year at the Conference of the Parties.
