Türkiye's Chief of General Staff Bayraktaroğlu meets Sudan army chief Alneil
Türkiye's Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu met Sudan's Land Forces Commander Lieutenant General Malik Altayeb Khogali Alneil, who was visiting Ankara. Land Forces Commander General Metin Tokel also attended the meeting.
Türkiye's Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu met Sudan's Land Forces Commander Lieutenant General Malik Altayeb Khogali Alneil in Ankara. Alneil is in Türkiye at the invitation of Land Forces Commander General Metin Tokel, who was also present at the meeting.
As part of his meetings in Ankara, the Sudanese commander was also received by National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler the same day.
Alneil's visit to Türkiye is taking place against the backdrop of the civil war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, which has continued since April 2023. Türkiye continues to call for lasting peace and stability in Sudan, repeatedly emphasizing its support for the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
