Investigation into Chinese ballpoint pens
Within the scope of the Communiqué on the Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports published in the Official Gazette, a final review investigation was opened upon the application of some domestic producer companies to review the existing anti-dumping measures on imports of plastic liquid ink and gel ink ballpoint pens of Chinese origin.
In the preliminary examination conducted by the Ministry of Trade, it was determined that there was sufficient information, documents and evidence to open the investigation. Thereupon, the Board for the Evaluation of Unfair Competition in Imports decided to initiate a final review investigation regarding the imports of the said products.
Definitive anti-dumping measure on dental milling machines
With another communiqué published in the Official Gazette, the anti-dumping investigation conducted on dental milling/scraping machines of Chinese origin used in dentistry was completed. As a result of the investigation carried out by the General Directorate of Imports, it was determined that the said products were imported at dumped prices and caused injury to the domestic industry.
In line with the decision of the Board for the Evaluation of Unfair Competition in Imports and the approval of the Minister of Trade, it was decided to impose a definitive anti-dumping measure on imports of these products.
Measure of 8,555 dollars per unit
According to the decision, a definitive anti-dumping measure of 8,555 dollars per unit will be applied to dental milling/scraping machines used in dentistry imported from China.
With the decisions taken by the Ministry of Trade, it is aimed to protect domestic producers against unfair competition and to maintain a fair competitive environment in imports.
