MKE delivers MPT-76 MH national infantry rifle to Land Forces Command
The new generation MPT-76 MH national infantry rifle, produced by MKE, has been delivered to the Land Forces Command. With its lightweight design and high performance, the rifle has been issued to Mehmetçik.
MKE delivered the MPT-76 MH national infantry rifles, produced at the Kırıkkale Weapons Factory, to the Land Forces Command. The rifle, bearing the signature of Turkish engineers, was developed in line with the operational needs of Mehmetçik.
Weighing about 500 grams less than the MPT-76, the rifle offers more ergonomic handling at 3.75 kilograms and increases infantry mobility.
Capable of firing 750 rounds per minute and with an effective range of 600 meters, the MPT-76 MH successfully passed a total of 58 tests, 42 of which were NATO standards and 16 domestic standards.
The weapon, which is the only infantry rifle in its caliber in the world, makes a significant contribution to the operational capability of the Turkish Armed Forces with its high reliability, durability, and lightweight structure.
The national infantry rifle, also chosen by the armies of friendly and allied nations, has high export potential.
