One of Russia's major refineries
The Moscow Oil Refinery is one of Russia's major oil-processing facilities.
According to data available from Reuters, the facility processed 11.6 million tonnes of crude oil in 2024. During the same period, it produced approximately 2.9 million tonnes of gasoline and 3.2 million tonnes of diesel.

Large-scale drone attack on Moscow
According to Russian officials, the attack was not limited to the refinery. Moscow Mayor Sobyanin announced that more than 1,600 drones had been shot down since Saturday, 450 of them headed toward Moscow.

Two people were killed in the attacks in the Moscow region, and residential buildings were also damaged.
