Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Türkiye Culture Route Festival will host the National Arab Orchestra in Türkiye for the first time. Bringing together Eastern and Western musical traditions, the orchestra will perform concerts in Ankara and Istanbul.
The ensemble, whose performances on digital platforms have surpassed 225 million views, will be joined by internationally award-winning Palestinian vocalist Nay Bargouti. Bargouti will interpret classical Eastern melodies by combining the traditional tarab style with jazz vocal techniques.
Concert schedule
The tour will begin on September 26 at the Ziraat Bank Main Hall of CSO Ada Ankara. The orchestra will then travel to Istanbul.
In Istanbul, concerts will be held at 8:30 p.m. on September 27 and 28 at the Türk Telekom Opera Hall inside the Atatürk Cultural Center.
The orchestra's musical structure
The National Arab Orchestra was founded in 2009 by conductor and multi-instrumentalist Michael Ibrahim as a small chamber ensemble. Today, the group continues its work in the format of a large symphony orchestra that brings together musicians from different cultures.
By bringing the musical heritage of the East together with the Western tradition of polyphonic orchestral music, the orchestra offers a musical expression that transcends cultural boundaries.
Tickets
Concert tickets can be purchased through Biletinial, via the AKM's official website and at the cultural center's box offices.
