Eurovision 2027 has found its host city: Burgas. The expected announcement has been made for Eurovision 2027. The 71st Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria, on the Black Sea coast. The contest is coming to Bulgaria for the first time after DARA won Eurovision 2026 with “Bangaranga.” Burgas was selected as the host city at the end of a bidding process that also included Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.
All of the contest’s live shows will take place at Arena Burgas, which has a capacity of approximately 15,000 people. Eurovision Week is planned to extend beyond the arena and spread across the city.
First semi-final: May 11, 2027
Second semi-final: May 13, 2027
Grand final: May 15, 2027
This will also be Bulgaria’s first time hosting Eurovision.
Bulgaria’s Eurovision story, launched by DARA in 2026, will continue on the Black Sea coast. Bulgaria and Burgas will establish a partnership with Istanbul for Eurovision 2027. The mayor of Burgas said: “In addition to bringing new flights to Burgas Airport, we will work with Istanbul as an additional gateway for international visitors because of its much greater geographical proximity.”

Burgas is located very close to cities in Türkiye. The city can be reached from Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ in an average of two hours, and from Çanakkale and Istanbul in an average of four hours.
