The play "Neci’s Diji Adventures," written by Dr. Nabat Garakhanova and directed by Onur Tamer, invites children on an interactive adventure centered on technology, artificial intelligence and environmental themes. The play premiered at the Trump Culture and Performance Center.

Produced in partnership with Mezo Group and CEO Event, the production was executive-produced by Glow Medya. Ayşe Keseroğlu and Özgür Adıtatar appear in the play, while Cenk Oygur served as executive producer.
A journey to restore nature
In the play, Neci and Meci set out on a journey to restore nature with Mini, an AI-powered robot, and Diji Misha, a digital guide. Alongside technology and environmental protection, the production explores themes such as empathy, friendship and teamwork.
Garakhanova said the play grew out of the idea of addressing children’s relationship with the digital world not only through technical skills, but also through curiosity, critical thinking and human values. Noting that children encounter technology at an early age, Garakhanova said they aimed to connect them with this world through a story rooted in their experiences and enabling them to develop empathy.
Artificial intelligence is approached through responsibility, not fear
Garakhanova said the play does not present artificial intelligence as something pushed out of everyday life or defined solely by its risks. She said they focused on building a conscious, balanced and creative relationship with AI, aiming to show children not only the possibilities offered by technology but also the importance of questioning it and using it responsibly.
In the play, artificial intelligence is presented as a tool that nurtures children’s curiosity, encourages them to ask questions and can contribute to the environment and society when properly guided. The production aims to help children grow into individuals who do not merely consume technology, but understand, question and create with it.
Garakhanova said the work also focuses on friendship and family, emphasizing that technological advances cannot be considered separately from the future of people and society. The play stresses that technology should not replace human relationships, but should support family bonds and friendships when used properly.
Children become part of the story
Children do not remain mere spectators in the interactive show. In some parts of the story, they make decisions together with the characters, answer questions, dance and join in the songs.
Alongside real robots, the production uses live video art, motion capture, LED screens and AI-powered interactive systems. It aims to support children’s problem-solving, creative-thinking, sustained-attention and collaborative skills.
An invitation for families to discover together
Garakhanova said the digital world had become a shared space in everyday life not only for children but for everyone. Noting that family communication is one of the factors shaping children’s relationship with technology, Garakhanova said parents should explore technology together with their children rather than viewing it solely through prohibitions and restrictions.
The play aims to give families an opportunity to reflect with their children on technology, artificial intelligence, friendship, family, nature and responsibility. The production supports the idea of learning, discovering and using technology for positive purposes together.
"Neci’s Diji Adventures" is staged through a partnership between Mezo Group and CEO Event, with contributions from Akın Robotik and Butik İnsan Kaynakları.
