The Pentagon has released a new package of documents, photos and videos related to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). The package concerning incidents also known as UFOs is the fifth compilation of such material made public.
The new package contains 41 files obtained from various U.S. government agencies. The records include documents produced by the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, Department of State and Executive Office of the President.
Records span from 1950 to this year
The published documents cover a period of more than 70 years. The oldest record in the package dates to 1950, while the newest is from this year.
The latest release follows a fourth disclosure made after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order earlier this year providing for the release of government records related to UFOs.
The Pentagon said work is continuing to publish the next installment of the UAP files.
