As part of the investigation conducted by the Gebze Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a truck was stopped and searched yesterday on Reşat Nuri Güntekin Street in the Darıca district. Inside the truck, 1 million synthetic pharmaceutical pills, which require a special prescription for use, were found packed in 50 boxes.
The operation did not stop there. Searches were also conducted at a workplace and its annexes in Darıca, where the synthetic pills were believed to be produced, as well as at a residence in Gebze thought to be used for storing the pills.
During these searches, machines believed to be used in the production of the pills and additional synthetic pharmaceutical pills were seized. Thus, the investigation extended beyond transportation to include production and storage facilities.
Additionally, 2 million pregabalin-containing pills and 65 kilograms of pregabalin powder were confiscated as part of the investigation. These quantities were reported to be among the most notable elements of the case file.
