President Erdoğan meets with Liberian President Boakai
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a meeting with Liberian President Joseph Nyumah Boakai. The talks covered increasing bilateral trade and cooperation in defense industry, education, and transportation; Erdoğan congratulated Liberia on its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
According to a statement from the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a meeting with Liberian President Joseph Nyumah Boakai.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and regional issues were discussed. President Erdoğan emphasized the need to take new steps to realize the potential of trade cooperation between Ankara and Monrovia.
Stating that Türkiye will continue to strengthen cooperation with Liberia in areas such as defense industry, security, education, and transportation, Erdoğan highlighted the importance of solidarity between the two countries.
President Erdoğan also congratulated his counterpart Boakai on Liberia's election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
