The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, may return from the United States to the UK later this month and live in a private residence outside London that is not owned by the Royal Family.
Their children are expected to start school in the UK
The couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to start school in the UK in September.
Harry and Meghan are not expected to resume their duties as working members of the Royal Family.
The Royal Family was informed
King Charles III was reportedly informed on Sunday, August 16, of the couple’s plans to return from the United States to the UK. Charles is said to have welcomed the opportunity to see the family more often.
Heir to the British throne Prince William and his wife, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, were also reportedly informed about the return plans.
They visited last month
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited King Charles in the UK with their children last month. The couple’s relocation plans were reportedly not discussed during the meeting.
They moved to the United States in 2020
Prince Harry announced in 2020 that he was stepping down from his Royal duties and subsequently moved to the United States with his American wife, Meghan Markle.
In television appearances and a book he published, Harry accused the Royal Family of being “racist” and “unbearable.” The prince disclosed details about his relationships with his father, King Charles, and his brother, William, that drew strong reactions.
