Samsunspor Football Director Fuat Çapa evaluated the team's status and transfer plans before the 2025-2026 season. Çapa stated that injuries during the season caused difficulties but the team showed development with different playing systems. He noted that the problems experienced especially in the matches against Galatasaray, Başakşehir, and Göztepe were related to injuries, and although the second half started with different plans, injuries made the process difficult. It was emphasized that after the coach change, the team returned to the playing style at the beginning of the season and the players showed improvement.

Defining success criteria as the development in players' performance and the overall progress of the team, Çapa stated that the season ended with points slightly below expectations but reaching the last 16 in Europe and going to extra time in the Turkish Cup were important achievements. Thanking the players who left, Çapa said the club was managed correctly and the players were sent off in a deserved manner. Regarding transfer planning, it was announced that actions were taken according to the 10+4 foreign player rule announced by the federation, and that in addition to current and loaned players, a few reinforcements would be made.
It was stated that preserving the squad as much as possible is a priority, but new players will be brought in when necessary.
