Minister Işıkhan announced that 103,852 employers and 4/b-insured individuals have benefited since June 4 from the arrangement on deferring and rescheduling debts owed to the Social Security Institution (SGK). Under the arrangement, debts totaling 131 billion 251 million liras were deferred and rescheduled.
The regulation on the conditions for deferring and rescheduling debts under Law No. 6183 on the Procedure for the Collection of Public Receivables was published in the Official Gazette on June 4.
Interest and repayment-term arrangements
The arrangement gives employers and insured individuals the opportunity to pay their SGK debts over longer terms. An annual deferral interest rate of 29 percent will apply if applications are submitted and the first installment is paid by August 31, 2026.
Existing deferred debts may also be restructured over longer terms at an annual deferral interest rate of 29 percent. The maximum deferral period has been increased from 36 to 72 months, while the limit for unsecured deferrals has been raised to 10 million liras.
Provincial directorates to remain open over the weekend
The relevant SGK units will continue working to prevent potential congestion as the application deadline approaches.
Social Security Provincial Directorates and Social Security Centers in all 81 provinces will provide uninterrupted service over the weekend of August 29-30.
Işıkhan said they would continue supporting employers and insured individuals through incentives and opportunities that support production, growth and employment.
